Top Trends For Spring 2012

This post may seem a little bit "all over the place", but there are so many different trends popping up, some good, some...eh I'll let you decide. ;)

First on my TO DO List, would have to be the bright bold nails
I'm loving this idea. Some people are calling it "Candy Colored Nails" which seems fitting.

Pictured: "Teal the Cows come home" "Purple with a Purpose" "Gargantuan Grape" and "Ladies and Magenta-Men"

We are seeing A LOT of this second trend.. and I mean A LOT. We ALL envy the "Loose hair, Don't care" vibe we get from beachy wavy hair we are seeing. Some are lucky enough to have it pretty natural, but others of us have to work really hard.. to make it seem as if we didn't try. You know what I'm talking about!

Love this look!
Another "Upcoming" hair trend is the Bun on top of the head..

Im gonna say that I don't see this trend sticking around for a while.. Not too many people can pull this off. The person best suited for this look would be someone with hair that is one length, long and THICK. LaLa Vazquez in the bottom left doesn't seem to have enough hair to pull that look off, where as Kate Bosworth in the top right, either has plenty of hair, extensions or I'm choosing to believe- some type of help (maybe a sock-trick sort of thing). With all this being said, I'm voting this trend a DON'T. Although, there is some alternative, and more conservative ways of pulling this look off and still look classy.

Fourth "Hot" Trend Is a Classic Red Lip. This will always be in style, but right now we are seeing it more, with more people doing "cat-eye"
type looks. I think a big part of that is because of Music icon Adele.

I'm Voting this one a DO. Just keep your eye make-up simple, so that your lip stands out!

Ok and last but not least, my very favorite... Bright colored pants. Yep. Its happening. And before you start to think, "There's no way I could pull that off".. Think again..

HOW CUTE is that outfit!?
Moving on..

I could browse photos of these all day. But tell me, what do YOU think of all these trends? What ones are your favorites?

How to Choose the Right Eyeliner Color

Now that we have already talked about the right eyeliner for your eye-shape, it's important to also have the right color to make your eyes pop!

For the Brown Eyed Belle - Your the lucky one. You can wear just about any color and get away with it! The deeper your skin tone, I would lean more toward the Purples. For the More fair Skin tones, some where in the blue shades like turquoise. A dark brown or black is always a bold classic.

For Blue Eyed Beauties- For a strong contrast a green would make you stand out. Browns, and coppers are the best neutral options.

For the Green eyed Goddess- Green eyes can rock any shade of purple and make a statement. This is one of my personal favorite looks to do on someone with green eyes. Also shades of navy blue are a pretty contrast. For more natural liner brown or black would work.

For Hazel Eyed Hotties- Since Hazel seems to me most similar to browns or greens, it depends on which shade you want to bring out in your eye. If You want them to look more green use a plum purple, if you want them to look more brown try a deep color, for best results a dark brown or black.

Here's Mine, Pretty boring.. I Could have done something more bold. I chose Navy.

Irish Spring Romance - inspiration board

If you have been following my blog, you might begin to notice a pattern of my beginning obsession with the color chartreuse. It's not a color very common to the human eye, but recently after a stunning show of display at the 2012 Spring fashion show, Jason Wu wowed the crowd when he went over-the-top bold!

You have to admit, your eyes did a double-take dance! I know mine did! Chartreuse has finally had her opportunity to break forth into the fashion industry and although I can't see this particular color lingering with us for fashion decades to come, I will say I will appreciate it while she's here to influence us. Note: this color is only meant for the boldest of brides!

This color is EXTREMELY daring and beautiful on the right person (if I'm blunt, some would say "hideous" on the wrong person); but I believe for a wedding, it's not so drastic once you relax it a few shades into a pastel. THIS would compliment almost any other color for a perfect spring/summer wedding.
